Chillonic has launched a new type of digital collectible that solves one of the biggest problems facing NFT owners: the ability to easily sell their digital items when needed. Announced on May 21, 2025, the collection introduces a groundbreaking technology called the “Chill-404 Protocol” that allows digital collectibles to switch between being unique items and tradable currency.
Traditional NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are unique digital items that can be difficult to sell quickly. Meanwhile, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are easy to trade but lack uniqueness. Chillonic’s innovation allows owners to have the best of both worlds.

The Chill-404 Protocol enables owners to:
- Split their unique NFTs into tradable $CHILL tokens based on the rarity of the original item
- Trade these tokens freely on various cryptocurrency exchanges
- Recombine tokens back into the original NFT whenever they choose
- Move seamlessly between collectible and currency states
This flexibility creates what Chillonic calls a “Double Flywheel” effect, where the system benefits from both the collectible nature of NFTs and the trading liquidity of cryptocurrencies.
Trading and availability
The platform for splitting and merging NFTs and tokens will be accessible at chillonic.fun. To protect early adopters, NFTs obtained through free minting will be locked from splitting for six months.
