Fast Company publishes its list with the hundred best companies for innovators

We have already dedicated a piece of news to Moderna, the company that, according to the list prepared by Fast Company and Accenture, has been considered the best for innovation in 2021. However, we found that list so interesting that this time we are going to explore the results and the methodology followed in more detail.

The list in question, drawn up for the third year by Fast Company in collaboration with Accenture, aims to “recognize companies and organizations around the world that continue to foster creative work cultures during a period of unprecedented global disruption”, so that They evaluated each of the companies that presented themselves and identified the 100 organizations, leaders and teams that have created cultures of innovation in 2021.

Methodology

Between January 11 and March 26, 2021, nearly 900 companies signed up to be considered, each providing an example of internal innovation along with information on investment, company processes and programs, work culture and emphasis on diversity and inclusion initiatives.

All candidates were evaluated separately by Fast Company and Accenture researchers and the two grades were combined. A jury reviewed the 125 best-placed companies in the ranking and drew up the top 10.

Jury

The jury to prepare the final list was made up of Saikat Chaudhuri, director of the Management, Entrepreneurship and Technology program at the University of California; Edith Cooper, co-founder of Medley; Paul Daugherty, executive leader of Accenture’s technology group; Jeremy Jurgens, General Director of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution of the World Economic Forum; Stephanie Mehta, editor in chief of Fast Company; Jana Rich, founder of the Rich Talent Group; Stefan Seiler, head of human resources at UBS; and, finally, Bradley Tusk, founder and CEO of Tusk Ventures.

Result

If the first position has been occupied by Moderna, among the top ten classified we find companies such as WL Gore & Associates (second), Quirk Creative (third), IBM (fifth) or Klick Health (ninth).

Other well-known companies that have also been ranked in the top 100 most innovative in the world are General Motors (29th), Walt Disney Imagineering (38th), Siemens (40th), Comcast N BCUniversal (44th), Google (61st), Adobe (67th), Pepsico (70), Samsung (75); Nestle (88) and Oracle (92).
