Atos’ cloud-based MDR service already benefits from low-carbon eco-design and eco-architecture. Today, Atos goes even further in its commitment by ensuring that the service is 100% carbon neutral throughout the carbon footprint life cycle: supply chain, transport, operations, end of life.
By decarbonizing one of its leading cybersecurity offerings that provide businesses with next-generation protection against threats, Atos is once again positioning itself as an industry leader on environmental matters. In line with its strategic ambition to accelerate the fight against climate change, the Group strives to reduce the carbon footprint of all its solutions, and cybersecurity is no exception.
More specifically, this commitment represents a first step towards the ambition of offering a complete portfolio of 100% carbon neutral cybersecurity solutions. In the months and years to come, Atos will continue to reduce the energy footprint of its cybersecurity products and services and increasingly offer green solutions to combat cyber threats and protect the environment.
“Both climate change and cybersecurity are significant challenges facing us today. Atos is committed to making the digital world a safer place, and for us that also means preserving our planet. As we fight cyber threats, it is critical to monitor the impact of our efforts on our natural resources. That is why, in line with Atos’s growing decarbonisation ambition, we have offset, since last month, the emissions generated by our MDR service. Our digital security teams have also begun optimizing the eco-design of our cybersecurity products to reduce their emissions footprint. Several other services from our dedicated cybersecurity portfolio will follow. This is a first step and we are proud of it”, declared Zeina Zakhour , Atos digital security CTO.
