A new chapter in the world of artificial intelligence and blockchain is unfolding as Grindery, a startup backed by Binance Labs (now Yzi Labs), announces the launch of Aventino—a permissionless crypto payment system designed specifically for AI bots and agents.

Aventino is a developer-focused infrastructure layer that gives AI agents their own smart wallets, allowing them to make payments, interact with blockchain protocols, and even create their own tokenized communities. Built on Ethereum’s ERC-4337 account abstraction protocol, Aventino lets developers build AI agents on any large language model (LLM), use any framework, and distribute them across platforms like Telegram, WhatsApp, XMTP, and the open web.

With Aventino, AI agents can pay and get paid, issue their own tokens, and participate in decentralized communities. This opens up new possibilities for how AI can be used in real-world applications, from automating payments to managing online communities.

Tim Delhaes, CEO and co-founder of Grindery, explained, “We believe the future of AI requires financial autonomy—not just intelligence. Aventino empowers developers to build platform-agnostic agents that can transact, govern, and evolve on their own. Just like mobile apps created a layer between users and the internet, agentic AI will create a new layer between users and the AI models that power their digital lives. And it will be powered by crypto.”

From smart wallets to AI payments

Grindery first made waves with its self-custodial crypto wallet, which attracted 3.5 million users on Telegram. Now, the team is using that experience to build Aventino, aiming to empower AI agents as independent economic actors. Aventino’s core features include self-custodial wallets for AI agents, a creator-centric stack for publishing across multiple platforms, and tools for agent tokenization and monetization. Agents can even accept payments through traditional methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay, as well as in crypto.

Last month, Grindery launched its universal gas token, GX, which is now available on major exchanges like Kucoin, MEXC, Gate.io, Uniswap, and STON.fi. With Aventino, GX’s utility expands even further. It will be used for agent-to-agent transactions, cross-chain gas payments, governance, and deploying new AI agents. GX will also play a key role in tokenizing agents and supporting new projects through bonding curves.

What is Grindery?

Grindery is building the permissionless payment layer for autonomous AI agents, powered by the GX token and backed by Yzi Labs. By enabling secure, interoperable transactions between web3-native AI agents, Grindery is laying the groundwork for a decentralized, agent-driven AI future.

Grindery is actively seeking partnerships with LLM platforms, messaging clients, wallet providers, no- and low-code platforms, and blockchain protocols interested in AI. The company has launched an idea forum to gather feedback and requests from the community and is onboarding developers from AI, crypto, and other fields. The next few weeks will be crucial as Aventino moves from private to public beta.
